Testing Requirements
High Brown to Black Belt:
- Be able to perform all previous requirements well.
- Perform Chun-Ji to Choong-Moo Pattern.
- Perform Self-Defenses #1 through #20 from both sides, Self-Defense against basic kicks, and five knife defense combinations.
- Perform all previous grabs and holds, releases from Bear Hug, side throw (hip throw) and overhead throw.
- Minimum four rounds of contact sparing.
- Perform 50 clean push-ups below age 40.
Perform 40 clean push-ups above age 40.
- Board Breaking: Accounts for 30% of your test. Student is required to be prepared for breaking, using both hands and both legs. Breaking requirements are announced at testing time.
- Must break one concrete patio block, 2" thick.
- Must have been assisting in classes with Mr Ali in 30 classes.
- Must have Mr Ali's permission to test and have been an active high brown belt for at least 8 months.
